I grew up with PCs, so once upon a time I was quite skilled with DOS command line codes. But that was a long time ago. For my High Performance Computing class, I had to learn some basic command line tools for Linux. Rather than constantly go back to the somewhat massive online documentation manuals, I wanted to collect the basics I would need for this class in one place for quick reference. I wanted to include explanations, examples, and where needed, a few useful variants. Everything here is targeted to complete particular assignments for this course, so it's not meant to be comprehensive, but narrowly useful.
