State Community College Business Math, Math 101
Course Description (from the College): Percents and the percent
formula; gross earning; FICA and withholding; trade discounts; mark-up and
mark-down; simple and compound interest and present value; simple discount
notes; annuities and loan amortization; depreciation schedules. An
introduction to descriptive statistics: mean, median, mode, and graphs.
Applications labs using Excel. This course is offered in both a
traditional format and as a WEB course. Meets degree requirement for the
