The simplest is given in Counting Methods I. This method is sometimes referred to as the Fundamental Counting Principle. Counting Methods III and IV are also common methods with special names, Permutations and Combinations. Counting Methods II fills in the last possible combination of Repetition and Order, but it doesn't come up all that often, but I've included it for the sake of completion.
