Summary and Reflections:
Summer A: This was my second course of this type that I taught at DeVry.  I really enjoyed the experience, and I look forward to doing more.

Summer B:  I tried some different discussion topics this term, but they didn't seem to go over as well in the threads as I had hoped.

Student Comments:
Summer A:
She was there when I needed her even though I worked a totaly [sic] different shift.

Ms. McCall is very knowledgeable in what she's doing and is always prompt when responding to questions or problems.

Instructor McCall's major strength is her vast knowledge of math and the ability to help the student by getting the points accross [sic] in layman's terms.

She was great! She was quick about answering any questions I might have.

She was there for you when you were having problems and didn't let me give up!

She always got back to the strudents [sic] in a timely manner and she was always helpful. She put her students first and cared about their progression through the course

She made sure we were aware that she was available.

Knowledge of math...knew exactly what I was stuck on, and how to get me to understand it.

The instructor was very knowledgable [sic] in the course and she provided a positive atmosphere to learn.

Summer B: She made sure everyone was helped and had thier questions answered.

In my opinion, Ms. McCall has made my experience at DeVry excellent. If I asked her a question she got back to me that day. She put up very helpful websites, and always encouraged us to either email her or call her with questions! I have no complaints, only complements with Ms. McCall.

The instructor's major strenghts were to keep the discussions from going in a tangent. Also, to help and encourage students to work harder to achieve their goal.

I felt that the instructor's major strenghts was that she stayed active with the discussion and she was there to help when there were difficulties trying to comprehend the material. I enjoyed her method of teaching. Great job!

Betsy McCall is very helpful and seems as though she actually has a sort [of] 'passion' for math. Being an online course, it's hard to judge but, through the way she communicates via discussions it seems as though she enjoys the subject as much as she is knowledgeable in the subject.

My Math Lab is very comprehensive in my opinion and in my case perfect for the simple fact that I like to work at my own pace. Betsy McCall is very helpful. The mixture of MML and the instructor needs no improvement.
