Summary and Reflections:
Summer A:  DeVry Weighted Average for Comp 100: , Math 114:
The evals in the computer class continue to be on the low side for my tastes, but this is often the second class students take at DeVry, and some of them are able to do most of the material already, and some are very computer illiterate.  The mixture of levels can be frustrating for students on both extremes.  Together with the fact that one really needs more experience with the online learning environment to really have anything to compare teaching styles to.  It's really amazing how different the Math 114 class feels after the Math 270 course, particularly with the different levels of technological support.

Summer B:  DeVry Weighted Average for Math 190: 3.4   For Comp 100: 3.47

The PreCalc course was a lot of fun this term.  And I continued to focus on how the computer skills applied to the business world in the computer class.  I'm still trying to find a way to successfully encourage more students to use the templates in Word for proper business formats for letters, memos, etc.

Student Comments:
Summer A:
The instructor did a great job of being involved in the weekly discussion. She helped keep us on the right direction and was very postive in what all the students had to say.

Professor McCall was very supportive and informative during this course. She went out of her way to assist students that needed help and had a positive influence on chat sessions

Very quick response to help questions and issues, very exited about teaching and very fair

Her knowledge of Word,Excel, and Powerpoint. The abililty to teach to the students how to operate the functions in Office 2007 and understand it. Also encouraging the students to communicate with each other in the discussions.

Excellent with response times when questions arose. Always offered help when needed. Weekly progress notes to update students on their status were very helpful.

communication and her enthusiasm. She is very committed to my success in this class.

Summer B:
The instructor explained the course objectives very well and the live lectures were very helpful.

She was informed on what she was teaching and she was easy to contact.

Created great topic discussions for the class to interact with each other.

How she setup the online course was excellent. I was never lost in the class

Always respond fast to emails was helpful in different parts of the thread of discussion.

Always there to answer questions you may have and she is very good about giving reminders to stay on top of your work.

The instructor really knew what she was teaching to us which helped people who may have struggled.
