Lifelong Learning

Data Analytics

Starting in 2017, I began teaching Business Analytics at George Mason University.  I had an interest in Big Data for two years, after developing a Learning Community at Anne Arundel Community College on Big Data.  For the moment, I am just taking a class here or there at Southern New Hampshire University, but I had to apply to the program to get around certain prerequisites.  We'll see where this goes.  In the meantime, I'll include information on the program here as it develops.

The first course I'm taking is just a quantitative analysis course (it's primarily statistics; there appears to be a bit of quality control at the end?).   I needed it to take a course in Spreadsheets, which is the one I thought would be particularly interesting for the courses I'm teaching at Mason.  I also signed up as a non-degree student at Mason, where I can also take a couple free courses per year, and that one will be on Big Data.  Should be fun.
