Lifelong Learning Linguistics Phonology
Phonology is the study of the way that sounds are organized in language. This subfield integrates the raw data obtained from phonetics into a coherent system of understanding. This field also addresses not only the system itself, but the way that the brain understands this system. Through the field of functional phonology, advances in understanding of phonological systems are driven by phonetic properties. This is my major field of research.
