Anne
Arundel Community College Pre-Statistics,
MAT 035
Course Description (from the College):
Study algebra topics essential for statistics such as operations on real
numbers, simplifying expressions, solving linear equations and
inequalities, and graphing linear equations. Explore concepts in
probability and statistics including set theory, experiments, counting,
measures of central tendency and dispersion, lines of best-fit and
graphical representations of data. Use technology for a data analysis
project. Prerequisite: Achieve an appropriate score on the Mathematics
Placement Test or completion of MAT 010 with a grade of at least C, or
successful completion of an approved mathematics preparation course. Note:
A grade of at least C in MAT 035 is required to enroll in MAT 135 or MAT
135H.
