Elementary Statistics, MAT 135

 

Course Description (from the College):

An introduction to basic concepts in probability and statistics.  Topics include sampling techniques; data display; large and small sampling theory; binomial and normal probability distributions; and regression and correlation.  Sample mean, standard deviation, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing are introduced in business, economics and industrial contexts.  Lecture: 3 hours
