Planets

Smaller objects from the Inner Solar System

There are several different types of objects in the inner solar system besides the terrestrial planets.  The Asteroid Belt marks the demarcation point between the inner and outer solar system.  While most asteroids are found there, they are really all over the place, and near-earth objects need to be monitored carefully lest their orbits point them on a collision course.  I have also included comets here because they are only visible when they are lit up by the sun; their origins, of course, are in the outer solar system.
