Lifelong Learning Astronomy Planets Jupiter
The largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter contains 99% of mass outside the sun. It has several famous features like the Great Red Spot, and two well-known moons: Io and Europa; Io for that it's the "pizza moon", covered with sulfur volcanoes, and Europa for that it's covered with ice and believed to have an ocean beneath that might just harbor life. Jupiter was also prominent in the news a dozen years ago for having a comet hit it, Shoemaker-Levy 9.
