College of Allegheny County, South Campus Fundamentals of Arithmetic, Math 080
Course Description (from the College): A course in the fundamentals of arithmetic computation. Included are such topics as operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; percents; ratio and proportion; introduction to algebra; and geometric measures and formulas. I'm teaching one section of this course. (This section begins August 30th.) SC62: TR 6:30-8:10 p.m. Information for Students Get an extra copy of the course syllabus. It is in Word format. Addendums and changes will be made below. The syllabus includes a list of homework assignments and due dates. Each assignment is available 12 days prior to the listed due date unless otherwise noted below. To complete each online assignment you will need to logon to MyMathLab. Practice tests are also available through this site. Students must complete at least three of the online practice tests to go toward the class participation grade. (Amended Sept 2nd.) There will be additional work handed out in class. The mid-term exam is scheduled for October 26th. The final exam is scheduled for December 14th.
